Detector(s) used
White M6, White 6000di
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
The old adage is try out your new detector at home. Well I did my yard with my M6 and found fourteen wheaties and 2 silver quarters, 1950 and 1957 as well as a mess of clad. Had 2 and a half hours off in the afternoon on tuesday so I did my neighbors yard. Found 14 wheaties, a 1945 walking half, 2 silver quarters, 1946 and 1943, 2 mercs, 1929 and 1936, 2 silver rosies, 1959 and 1960, and a ton of clad. Really learned to check the hole more than once since I pulled out 8 pennies from the same hole!(All modern). I also found a solid brass/copper? garden hose nozzle. I have a couple questions. how can you tell brass from copper? I find my M6 will read penny with large copper objects. Has anyone had a similar experience? Sorry no pics. I have to get my daughter to show me how to upload pics. Good luck to you all.

Very sweet :headbang:....ya my M6 is the same way. Still learning mine but I love it. :laughing7:

Man I'd say! Sounds like a great time!!! Congratulations! :icon_thumleft:

That's so sweet! Maybe try to keep going down the street as far as you're able to, and maybe keep showing the homeowners the finds you found next door to theirs to entice them to give you permission!
:headbang:

oh heck yeah!

Thanks Guys. My neighbors think I am nuts searching in this "modern" neighborhood (houses built in the early 50's and 60's) but proofs in the pudding. I am going to do them all if i can get permission!

Good luck on getting those permissions :icon_thumleft: Also, hurry up and get your daughter to show you how to post pics...lol :tongue3:

Glad you are enjoying your M-6, it is a sophisticated machine that is very easy to use. I love mine and have no interest in upgrading. With experience you'll be better at distinguishing the large targets from the coin-sized targets. If I get a strong copper reading on my M-6, I will raise the coil and wave it across the target area. If it still gives a reading, it is likely a large target like a hose nozzle. Sounds like you've got some great yards to hunt, keep up the good work!

Sounds like you had a good experience this first time. Good Job! Old digger.

Man can't beat that , Congrats :hello:

Great 2.5 hours...WTG!
