best afternoon in a terrible long time

There are some similar bone points on pg. 142 and there are also some bird head effigies like larson's on pg. 153 in this book.

The birdhead is about 3/4 of the way down on page 114.

I like the drawings of the excavations towards the end of the Mandan book. The one on page 134 is kinda cute with that sign in the midden mound that reads, Keep away Relic Hunters....
And the kid or whoever is running on top of the midden mound carrying a scapula hoe....

The museum is free and open every day (except holidays).
I go there quite often.
