Only because I haven't tried any others yet:hello:,,HH

why no Sand Shark? I have not tried others but have a first year booty pouch I'm very happy with - hopefully will need to find treasure chest for 2nd year finds!

Here we go again....

I own a whites.

Even though it is NOT offered, I'll vote for the Tesoro SAND Shark. :occasion14:

I vote the sand shark !!!

Tesoro Users PLEASE forgive my mistake I intended to write Sand Shark, not Tiger Shark so please vote on that one, so that we can keep the poll as it was ment.

Again I am sorry for the mistake.

The Garretts Sea Hunter model has been around a long time and there are many models, I have a Sea Hunter XL 200 that I havent used for 20 years, it was a terrible jewelry hunter. It would not find gold jewelry, which is a very difficult thing sometimes. But the newest model is supposed to be very good. I also didnt vote because it wasnt complete. You have to realize many PIs have a slow pulse and cannot find gold jewelry. You do have to know if it can find gold jewelry. Small low carat gold.

This poll is on actual production metal detectors, not out of production ones.
I don't know if there were better PI machines before but I am trying to see what people think of actual metal detectors.
As for the garrett I am refering to the latest model.

I have the Whites Dual Field and haven't used it a lot yet, but it did have me digging well over 12 inches for very small pieces of metal (mostly trash). Seems to be a very capable detector and I am sure once I know it better it will bring home the finds.

I have the dual field and the sand shark. Both good machines. I have more time in on the dual field and it goes a little deeper than the sand shark. The shark may find a little smaller gold however. So, my vote is for the dual field. And for you beach and shallow water waders, use a straight shaft on the dual field and you will not have to fight with the coil trying to float on you. Sorry for you divers, the only thing you can do is to add weight to the coil with that small dive shaft.
