Best foods jar

Found this jar in my yard this afternoon. We have what appears to be a trash heap from the early 1800s in the back yard. (I live in a historic town.) It's rekindled my excitement for digging the entire thing. The grass dies in the winter anyway, right?! Any idea what this jar is?

so far they look like there from the 1930s.
