found this last weekend. the scraper caught my eye from about 10 ft. away. when i bent over to pick up the scraper i saw the base of the point abut 3 inches to the left of it. after a little wiggle i could tell it was a decent sized point. when i pulled it out i had to sit down for a minute. i was pretty excited. not 100% sure what type it is although i have narrowed it down to a few different types. was wondering what u guys thought ? it was found in oh. thanks

Holy cow I would have sat down also! Big. Is it a Benton? I am just guessing here. Looks to be very fine what ever it is. That is a heart thumper

Musky - very nice find. I don't know exactly what that is, probably somewhere between late archaic and middle woodland. Good symmetry, good form, great condition, very thin.... that's what we're all looking for.

Nice knife. It reminds me a lot of an early stage Cresap, the predecessor to the Adena. Most Cresap that are found don't have shoulders that are real prominent, but those also have been resharpened extensively.
