I found this today. Looks like it has broken off of something and looks like it was made by a blacksmith. Everything else is trash

I have found broken ones and complete hooks. It's a lot more fun finding intact hooks.

The eye could be from the handle from an old cart or wagon. Some hit&miss engines had carts with eyes so they could be towed?
