Nova Scotia Business Inc. - NSBI, In 2017 "the announcement was made that NSBI would be using said fund to provide the production of The Curse of Oak Island with $1,926,689 in funding.

One of NSBI’s functions is to provide funding for the purpose of making the province of Nova Scotia a more pleasing place to set up business operations. Of course, this extends to the production of both movies and TV shows, which is why NSBI has something called the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund under its umbrella.

Funding from the incentive fund is provided on the basis of whether the production is buying products and services from Nova Scotian businesses. To be exact, productions have to be buying either products, services, or labor from Nova Scotian sources, which are totaled up before being used to calculate the amount of funding to which the production is entitled. In this particular case, The Curse of Oak Island was said to have spent $5,070,366 in eligible costs, which is why it received $1,926,689."

Not bad for two ...... smart guys!

Yes.....the lagina’s Andy history channel’s perpetuation of the hoax is reaping financial benefits just as it did for previous actors and story tellers such as chaole, restal, Blankenship, nolan, the mcquiness brothers, and others.

Since the first lie was told in the 1700’’s, each time the dust settles and folks figure out they are being conned in an effort to get investment money, interest was lost and the hoax story was not presented again for a number of years until most forgot about the previous hoax attempt. Then the hoax was reignited again hoping to reign in a newer crop of gullible investors. Follow the time line since the mcquiness brothers first made their claim.....the scenario repeats over and over.

No hole, no 10 foot timbers, no flood tunmels, and no 90 foot stone has ever been found.........and absolutely no proof of any of those things has been presented. Only common artifacts associated with folks visiting/living on the island for hundreds of years have been found.

The looks on the faces of the actors when they make a statement is telling enough. They try to get thru their lines without laughing out loud. When they finally admit the entire show was fiction, they’ll release a bloopers show to get the last cent out of advertisers.....

Why does canada invest money in the hoax......tourist business...

Yes. It is win/win for Canada whether anything is found or not. Permits, taxes, tourist dollars, etc.

Robert Dunfield even built them a causeway to the island that saved them having to do it or build a bridge. Quite a windfall for the region and residents.

You keep saying that past searchers were making a profit off searching for the treasure, and I keep saying that the Restalls DID NOT MAKE ANY MONEY off the island. They paid for their search with their life. They lived on the island year round with no electricity. Every dollar they got from investors got spent on the search. Dunfield had his own money and after spending a bunch of it packed up and went home, I'm sure alittle poorer then he started off with.. Sure they all "made money" from investors but spent it on the search. NO ONE has ever come to the island to search and then left to live high on the hog from money they made from investors. The only ones close are the Blankenship's..

Ok so let "us" turn the tables and look at this wild claim with skepticism.

As " you all" ask for proof, where's your proof?
Can you prove your wild claims with factual financial statements?
If you can, then of course "we" will want those to be audited by an independent CPA.

This is not asking to prove a negative, so surely the brilliant ones of these threads can produce the factual based documents needed to support such a claim.

-Cheers

It would not benefit History channel, the Lagina brothers, Blankenships or ANYONE involved in the show to prove or disprove the legend/mystery .. If its proven .. they cant keep whatever it is on the island and once the mystery is solved the square foot price of the island drops to near nothing. (perhaps a Templar themed amusement park and resort showing the valiant struggle to bury and dig up the treasure) OR they disprove nothing , get their couple years of fame , cash and incentives from the network , free advertisement for the winery and local businesses , the island price will remain inflated and the search continues with a Templar themed amusement park and resort to keep the coffers overflowing with investor support. Perhaps a Templar B&B featuring fresh straw to sleep on and week old gruel for snacks. The island will be closed on every Friday the 13th .....
