Im building a 6 ft long sluice, does anyone have a suggestion on a good width?

ky gold said:Sorry for the confusion, my new box is ribbed from top to bottom with three sections of matting. The end of the first section overlaps a piece of air conditioner filter 5 in wide with quarter inch chicken wire on top of the filter to catch larger pieces. Will post pics when i can.

jog said:Keene has a new Super Highbanker that has a 20" by 8' sluice. Go to Keene engineering and click on Marks blog to find a video about it.
they still do use the long tom. ive seen them around,but most people dont want to lug around lots of equipment to use.kuger said:I have always wanted to build a long Tom like the old timers used.I wonder why nobody uses one any more?
