Congrats again to Jake! It was just plain awsome that the youngest hunter there found the biggest, coolest find of the hunt! And I like everyone else was priviged to see his face while he and the other guys were diggin it up then to see that look when he oppened Prince Albert and saw the gold coin! I dont think any of us will forget it either :icon_sunny:

Hope ya'll can make it to Caldwell.

Make sure you post pics when the flowers come up around it! ;D

I have some Jasmine growing on it now. I'll try to get some pics this weekend, right now I'm dead tired. Five hours of sleep last night and I just got in from work. Besides it' to dark to take pictures outside right now!!

We'll be waiting, cant hardly stand the suspense to see how it looks now! Get some good sleep! :sleepy2:

Oki....we will wait til you are rested and the sun is out! lol Don't mind us....we are just excited to see it but we still understand the need for rest! lol Sweet dreams!

Josh was telling us that there used to be a fence from the house to the road right along that same area. He doesn't know where the grill came from, but he figures it got propped up against the fence and at some time or another fell over. The old homestead had been empty for a while when he and Virginia bought it. It was overgrown. He took down the old fence and just started mowing the place. The grill had been overtaken by grass, and he just rode over it with the mower. The grass is called St. Augustine, which is a popular lawn grass down here. It grows very thick in runners and makes a nice carpet. There wasn't much dirt over the grill, but there was a great carpet of St. Augustine, enough to keep the lawn mower from hitting the grill. -Noodle

The grill is there, it's just kinda hard to see with everything else thats growing. My mom gave me two potted jasmine's and I planted one in front of the grill. One of the vines? or runners is starting to wilt so I guess it must of been broken during the planting. I have elephant ears, banana trees, garlic, petunias, morning glory, hydrangea, and some that I just plan forgot the name.

It is even prettier than I thought it would be!! Beautiful job there! Thanks for getting some pics for us!

The jasmine needs more time to take root and it should really start to grow. If not then I have a backup plant still in a pot.

sounds like you got it all figured out! Hopefully you will have time to post some pics as things grow. I think we all kinda feel like that grill belongs to all of us. lol

It looks fantastic, just like I hoped it would, please as you have time post thru the growing season!

Well, that looks better on display than it did under my front yard. I also wanted to tell everyone that they did an outstanding job of replacing their "divots" . . . a month later i cant even tell ya'll were here. So . . . let's do it again sometime, except next time I'll be hunting, too!

Well its about time, so have you got yourself a detector yet and what kind! It will be fun to have you out there detecting too, instead of watching and helping dig!
