black and white half dollar rolls- your opinions?

Hey folks, I have been getting half dollars with black and white wrappers that say "$10 halves" for over a year now... they have been quite smelly if you know what I mean... you know, dressed up and wrapped appropriately with their colors... skunky... the source is Garda. I was wondering how other people are doing with garda "skunk" wrappers?

I siffered a 28-box skunk streak last year with them, had some great boxes earlier this year, and went on another 30 box skunk streak just broke by a single 1968d silver... I've tried and tried to see why this is, can't seem to figure it out... the boxes are sealed and rolls are unopened, they just smell of skunk!!

I have tried and tried again to get boxes from a different source, ALL banks in my area are now using Garda except for one bank... that specific bank will order me 2 boxes of halves per month though.

Any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions? I am NOT giving up the half dollar search

I get them sporadically mixed in with my garda boxes from time to time along with the regular yellow and white strings rolls.

Never had a "great" black and white box but I have found plenty of silver in them as well.

I've never gotten silver from the black-and-white rolls up until last night. I pulled a single 1966 40%er.

I was doing great with them early in the year, but they abruptly stopped producing around mid-April. Unfortunately that is about all I find around here which has helped curb my obsession quite a bit.

Yes, I think it's luck of the draw too, I think what we're all finding in our "good" boxes, may it be Brinks,
Dunbar, Loomis or who ever, is that collection of halves that someone turned in and nobody got them at the bank so they got sent off and boxed up at the carriers center and then we wait and hope that we get one of those in our order. Just my opinion though. You'll get one of those good boxes again, we all do eventually, just keep at it.
