Black Rock Desert

Has anybody on the forum done any nugget-teering in the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada? If so, any suggestions as to the best time of the year to go and where would be appreciated!

Rat, now you know dang well those web swamp feet of your ain't a gonna work in that high desert.
I was up there two years ago, but did not get to prospect for gold or gems.
