Borrowed Detector....found a few things.

My Whites XLT is in the shop and I had to borrow a detector from Mastereagle22. He joked on here that he really loaned me a stick with a plate on the end. Actually, it was his Deleon. It did an OK job, but it's no Whites.

This hunt was cut short by a severe thunder storm that rolled in with tornado warnings and all. As it blew in, I slowly worked my way back to the car. I thought Mastereagle would never crawl out from under the porch so we could leave. Good thing I had the plate and stick he tried to pawn off on me or I would have never gotten him out. Who knew he had such a passion for cat food. He claims it makes his coat bright and shiny. Personally, I think it causes him to climb trees which annoys me.

Here is what I found with his little machine. Those four tent stakes drove me nuts. They were all in about a 10 foot area and sounded great on the detector.








This is awesome. I have no idea what it might have come off of. If you know, share the knowledge.







Anyone know anything about marbles. Is this one old?

It appears to be an old one but you will have to get the advice of one of the marble guru's on tnet. Like the indian arrowhead thing. Don't know what it is

His XLT is BROKEN! Cause just like the Bullseye II it's made by WHITES!!!!!

He uses his XLT for a Cane sometimes, you should see his rendition of singing in the rain!!!!!

Hey bad mouth Ponce all you want but you got out, had a good hunt and found stuff that is really cool!!!!!
Remember a year ago that arrow head would have made both our nights? Man are we a couple of jaded old so-and-sos!

I do NOT eat cat food! I eat CATS!!!!! They taste really good in a stir fry with some rice!

My XLT seems to have a lot of trouble locking on while pinpointing. I think I simply stuck Mastereagle across the head with it too many times.

BB, just a thought. . . Put in a set of NEW batteries then turn the XLT on and wait for the MAIN MENU to appear. Take out the battery pack while the detector is STILL ON and then wait a minute or two. Put the batteries back in and then re-start the detector.
(sort of like "re-booting" a computer)

In defference to the punches and jabs being thrown here your finds are neat.

The Arrow head piece maybe an "Order of the Arrow" award or uniform piece. OA is part of the Scouting program. It is for older scouts.

I was a marble champion in the day. 1958-59. City and County champion. How's that for modesty? lol. Your marble was what we called a pot marble. bought at any 5 and dime store. We bought them by the bag or won them from others who were not as adept at shooting marbles. Had 100's of them at one time. HHHH

Actually Nick I do live close enough that maybe one day I can sneak over there and hunt with ya.

And I finally have it all figured out ! BB keeps finding these "marbles" laying all over the place cause his are loose and they keep fallin out!

Waiting for me to thank you? You only loaned me that so you could detect a good place with me. You wouldn't have wanted to go to a good place w/o me. Also, you knew I wouldn't find much with that Deleon and you would have bragging rights to the good stuff. I'm on to you.....you fatty.
