1992. Yes lots of stuff. As for the bottle found in this thread...could the white build up on the bottle be salt? I remember hearing something about all the drinking water on the island being contaminated by ocean water.
Pretty sure gollum is correct. It contained SAKI, Japanese rice wine and the candleholder was to heat it up, as Saki is best when served warm. Quite a find...
With all due respect... He could be right...but if your hiding in a cave I think a warm SAKI is a bit of a luxury. A makeshift lantern on the other hand would be quite a valuable commodity.
Very true...sake and beer was always around. And if they knew a battle was on the horizon, extra booze was shipped in. Nothing like fighting a drunk suicidal soldier.Sake may have been a bit of a luxury, but it was stocked in every Japanese Unit. Sake, as well as Tea are parts of Japanese Formal Ceremonies. Not just refreshing beverages. Just Google "Japanese Tea Ceremony".
