I purchased a 10" coil for my bounty hunter quick draw II, has anyone else tried this and had any luck

Depends on where your wanting to hunt. In a trashy park now you'd find to many targets to get under the coil at once.

I'm hunting an area in WV that just has had several families on it and has had civil war battles around it and who knows what else, I had just heard some people put down the quick draw II and just wanted to be sure it wasn't a waste of money, but to my knowledge I won't be in a trashy area its completely untouched by metal detectors.

The QuickDraw II is not a waste of money. It is a pretty decent entry-level machine.

I use a BH 505 stock coil & 4" gold nugget coil works fine But soon it will be my back-up just ordered a Minelab X-terra 705 can't wait to try that out

What kinda ground you hunt in, hard or soft soil cause I heard that makes a difference
