Bracelet- COPPER (NATIVE AMERICAN/ COLONIAL) ?

Hello

I found this on a beach in Long Island about a month ago.
I’m 99% sure that’s a bracelet and copper. It has some very modest decorative markings and possibly gilt. Looks old. Possible Native American or Colonial .

If anyone has an idea of age or info, please let me know.

Net looking piece. The 17th century Indians did not have the capability to plate metals. Whatever, I like it.

From what I know, Copper Culture made their objects by hammering thin layers and folding them over. You should be able to see those layers. I don't see them in the photographs you provided. I suspect, from that, that what you have is of European origin.
