✅ SOLVED Brass item ,what is it?

[CoinandRelicMan]

This was deep at a old house, seems like a latch mechanism of some type, must have some age to have such a nice patina.

Any ideas ?

Thanks for the helps

Window latch

Dayton Manufacturing made window sash latches for passenger rail cars also - might be from a pullman coach?

I've seen them and used them, but can't remember where. School bus I can't remember, but it was a sliding window.

Man wish my memory was better, just think of all the useful things, like where did I find my first silver coin at?
