brass what is it from my yard

There are some fruit jars in the area and a house was here before 1950. Anyone have an input. Similar to a tent grom met, but to big. Thanks for looking.

It’s not too big to be part of a grommet, the bigger and heavier the tarp or tent or sail is, the bigger the rope needed to secure it. Hence, the bigger the grommets needed.
