Any ideas to what the age of this pin may be ?I assume it's gold, I can't find any stamps on it. The pin was found in my grandmothers basement in a box with some items that belonged to her ancestors.Nobody to ask in my family now. Thanks HB

Its beautiful, I think you need to take it to a jeweler and have him tell you if its real or not . Women used these alot during the Victorian age...hair,hat,scarf or lapel pins

Thanks Gypsy,I agree it is a nice piece.I wish I could ask her who it belonged to in the family. There was also a necklace in the box that had 4-5 rings on it.They are so small they must have been baby rings.I'll try and post a pic later. HB

Very lovely stick pin.
Gypsy is definately right (again ;))...Victorian / Edwardian

c. 1890 -1920

hard to id the stone from a picture....
If it has no flaws, it would what the Victorians liked to call paste (glass)

If it has flaws it can only be a number of stones
which were commonly used in that time period:
morganite (named for JP Morgan - discovered 1911)
pink spinel
pink tourmaline
