Nice find :)

Well it could be a brooch and judging but the claws/gem stone holders, it could be from the 1850's? possibly a bit later on in the century but the setting for what would have housed the stone looks quite old. You could take it to a jeweler and have it appraised, they would know more then i would about the age and value.

Looks to be a brooch from the 1800's. Without the stones, and being in the condition it is in, the "value" is minimal.....maybe 10-20 bucks as-is.
