my brother found this creek stomping in cental iowa. we think agate basin. what do you think? it is 6 3/4 inches long.

Are the base edges ground smooth? If so then it's more than likely an Agate Basin and a very nice one at that.

it has heavy basal grinding two and half inches from the bottom down. it is lighter colored on that part also

Just a few criteria from Tnet regarding potential Banner finds:

"Significant and Plausible", "recent", "posts with great stories"

I think some quality photos of this piece would pay dividends, it's as nice a blade as I've ever seen but, I'd like to see it better. My vote is pending
