Buckles silver dime and a mystery big lead ball with loop

Tried a new spot today. A bunch a buckles found. Not sure of the age of them if anyone has insight that would be great. 1943 Canadian dime. And a real heavy lead ball. Looks like a weight of sorts. The loop looks to be copper. It’s very interesting and really would like to know what it is.

The buckles are common horse tack buckles. The lead is a "tear drop" or " water drop" shaped drop shot fishing weight

Tony may be right. A ten pound downrigger ball is a good size for trolling. That's the size weight I used to use in Puget Sound. It merely holds your bait or lure deep, by pinching the line in a clip of some sort. When the fish hooks up, the clip releases your line, leaving you to play the fish with no lead on your line.

Not knowing what a steel yard weight was, I had to look it up. Crusader has a more likely ID.
