BuffaloBoy's September totals ******PICTURES ADDED UPON REQUEST******
Hi everyone, and thanks for reading. September has been a decent month for me minus the half dollars, a complete skunk. They were backordered from a different area, obviously an area that grandma is not cashing in grandpa's collection.
Here's the results.
$3,451 searched(down to the exact dollar, ha) The reason is, and I will explain it later on after listing what I searched:
9/3- $25 box of pennies: 21 wheats, 5 canadian, barbados penny, and 3 usa denver mint set tokens the size of a penny all BU
9/3: $100 Nickel box: 3 buffalo nickels, 2 had no date, after nic-a-date the dates were: 1914, 1917, 1926. My first 1939-s, and 36 pre 1960, and my first clipped coin, a double clipped nickel!!!
9/5: $25 box of Pennies: 12 wheats, 6 canadian, barbados penny.
9/13: 4 boxes of half dollars($2,000 FV): SKUNK. 1972-s 1982-s and 1987-p NIFC's
9/14: 1 box of half dollars($500 FV): SKUNK. did manage an awesome 1978-s cameo proof.
9/19: 1 box of pennies: 19 wheats, 8 canadian, 1 dime(1988p)
9/22: 1 box of quarters: SKUNK(expected)
9/22: 1 box of dimes, expecting a skunk, managed a beautiful 1964p!
9/30: 2 rolls of CWR pennies($1 FV): 1968 Canadian penny
9/30: 5 rolls of CWR dimes($25 FV): 1956 FDR silver dime. nice way to end off the month!
Went to my supermarket to get food and there's a bank in there. I do my usual ask, any half dollars, none. I then asked for any spare rolls of coin they could supply me, no problem, they could only give me 5 rolls of dimes and 2 rolls of pennies($26). Satisfied me because they were CWR with customer account # on them, instead of those stupid brinks dimes that I always get skunked on. 1956 silver.
I know those tellers at the supermarket do not know about silver since I scored a 1968d silver half dollar from them once before, and then a silver dime clearly a clean silver rim. The dime is in worn shape, but was one of the highlights of my month!
Thanks for reading, and HH!
~Scans of the coins will be posted on request- as long as I have scanned them already.
