I finally broke down and started to sort and label all the buttons I've found MDing so far. It is amazing to me how quickly they build up, and the varieties out there.
Here are a few shots of all the old buttons I've found ranging from the two large Colonial buttons, up to some early to mid 1900's work clothes buttons. There are an even 40 buttons so far with the majority being from the CW era, and about 90% coming from the one farm I've been detecting for about 6 months.
No finds yesterday, so I thought I'd share this tidbit. :D
Now if I could just find the hidden coins that are as old as these buttons. :-)
Have a great w/end,
MM

Jack,
That's the easy part for me. At least 90% came from one farm property. A few work clothes pieces came from a plantation house, and my recent "US" rosette was from another plantation house by my work.
Thanks,
MM
