Hi,

I found this today on an old colonial road (not sure if it is colonial though).

it's small, about the size of a dime
no imprinting on the back but it does have the shank

thanks for the effort - again much appreciated

definately makes sense - like you said there were alot of german settlers in PA back at that time but I also think the whole Hessian soldier avenue might also make sense - i remember reading some local texts a while back and there were a few groups of hessian soldiers in lycoming county during the war.
