✅ SOLVED Button or buckle experts?

Just looking to date these, they appear to be old.. looks like a clover with stars on both sides and a thin triangle on the middle leaf. It's about the same size as a penny. The back has an L with a banner over it... At least thats what it looks like... Not much stands out on the buckle...

I have found lots of those buckles here in Aus.
I believe they are from horse gear, saddles etc. I would guess they are late 1800's to early 1900's.

I can't help with the button, but I'd be stoked if I found it.
I love finding buttons and the knowledge that comes with the research.

Thanks Diggin, It looks like a horse buckle but i wasn't sure. I love finding the buttons

I agree with Huntindog. I have one that is similar to yours Phillymike and that's what it was IDed as being.
