Button with Canons on it.

Found a cool button in the woods, it was near what could have been an old house site. There was just a big hole in the ground, maybe a root cellar. I had been working the area, maybe about a quarter mile away was a small civil war camp site. I had found 26 bullets, 2 eagle buttons, and 3 gun wrenches. But this button was all I found in this area. Nice surprise.

Nice button, there is a Confederate one, made by C Rouyer, New Orleans. I found one but half the front was gone

Thanks for the info, maybe I need to try harder to read the back of that button.... I have been told by guys who have hunted these woods in the past that they have pulled confederate buttons.
