Buttons on your underwear! Todays button find. any info appreciated.

Didn't find too much today besides this and some wheaties. Check it out, i found some pics similar to this when i looked it up...It reads L H Scovill Extra Rich. It's really worn but i see a few glimmers of gold spots on it.

Nice flat button.. Always nice to find one with a legible backmark.

I forgot to mention that is a Leavenworth, Hayden & Scovill button from Waterbury, Conn.. and dates to the early 1800's.

Nice button. I find a fair amount of buttons, but most of mine do not have legible writing on them. Congrats on a great piece of history.
