Today I could find only 8 coins. Five of them were scrappies (Crusader's definition :laughing9:) but still it was an amazing day.

Probably; BYZANTINE. BRONZE 1/2 FOLLIS. JUSTIN II AND SOPHIA, THESSALONICA, 565-578 AD.

I couldn't clean it better

In this area there are a few little hills and today I hit another one. Getting closer to the top of this hill I found the first of this beautiful broochs or pendants, whatever they are.

This bronze bell seems too big and heavy for a sheep. Maybe for a cow!

This is some mixed stuff

Today was very windy and because of a strong headache I had to stop. With the broken heart I turned of the machine and headed to my car.
Who knows when I can get back there!
The funny thing is that the landlord is not interested in any of these. He's interested only on gold and in that case we agreed for 30%.
This three days hunt will be unforgettable.
Best wishes
Vince.

Vince, you make some incredible finds and every post you outdo the last

Just amazing as always. That ring is incredible and I LOVE the bell.

Seriously... do you guys "listen" to yourselves? DETERMINING WHICH ROMAN EMPEROR IS ON THE COIN YOU'VE FOUND?!!

I honestly love the history lessons I get from members from overseas (to me) such as yourself. Thanks for sharing!

I am sitting here looking at little piles of corroded wheaty pennies and feeling sorry for myself. This guy lives in metal detecting paradise.

Well done on the coinage and other finds as the brooches and this one is a stellar find. Almost reminds me of Saxon type with the little circles. Congrats Vince

Vince, you make some incredible finds and every post you outdo the last

Thanks Steve
Studying the areas made my hunting easier. First I needed to know the machine, now I need to know more the areas.

Thanks Pepperj, I have the same impression. All the clues lead to gothic culture even though its almost impossible. Another possibility is the Slavic influences !
