Here's our first shorter hunt at the camp. We hit a wooded area and an old campground. We all found several wheats, Ron a silver Washington quarter, and Charlie dug a nice Barber quarter near a rock pile. My best find was probably the Gillette Slim Adjustable razor (manufactured 1961-68). It still opens and closes perfectly. A woman I know who sells antiques told me she recently sold a similar one for $25. :o

HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne

Ron gave me this cool purplish glass he found in the woods.
Maybe you bottle people can enlighten me on it?

1930s cork top whiskey bottle (prohibition style/period)

cool find!

Neat whiskey flask. Congrats on a good hunt you guys.

Great digs everyone. I like the do-dad and the whiskey bottle is sweet! I have found several razors in the past - glad I've kept em all.

Cool finds Anne!! Always a blast to hunt with friends. That razor and bottle are my favorite. Congrats on the coins and other relics also!!

Nice old flask Anne, great color! And, I remember those razors used by my folks when I was a kid -

Looks like a fun time. Good digs by all, hope you guys get back out there get some more!

The bottle is a cork top Whiskey that had a paper label on it at one time. It dates between 1885 and approx 1914. The purple color comes from a cleansing agent to make the bottle clear. They did not figure it turned the glass purple if left in the sun so they took out the manganese in approx 1914....

Great find...
