What part of the U.S. are you in? That doesn't look like anything I've seen made by natives of north America. the first feeling I get is mexico or central america.just my first impression.

Possibly voodoo or hoodoo, depending on your location. I've seen similar on the east coast in certain communities.

I'm tiring to figure out the meaning of the anal orifice in the center of his chest. Could this be a likeness of an early political leader?

By the way, count the number of fingers on his right hand. Although not available in the photo, the left hand seems to have the same number.

Best contact the producers of Ancient Aliens. This little fellow might be the missing clue. <smile>

I'm puzzled by the relatively intact condition of this artifact. What is the possibility of culling through the rest of the dirt pile or diggings to see if you can find other artifacts?

I agree, Stephen King like. Do your toilets flush in the middle of the night? I'd be scared to find one of those. I bet you $hit when you knocked the dirt off that old fella. He is cool, but, I don't think he could come inside with me. I don't think I could let him stay out either??? Hope I never find one , deserves banner, if you aren't fooling with us !

Tom Cruze probably worships him. Elron Hubbert didn't live in your house in the past did he? Just kidding. You have your home work cut out for you. Congrats!!! Nice find!

Ha ha... You beat me to it! I was going to say it might have been made by the aliens in the volcanos and reference dianetics

It almost looks like if you find some magical jewel and put it in the hole in its chest then it will come to life.

delta 4000 / ace 250 - used BH and many others too
it looks to be a idol / god doll of some type -- it could be quite old an old mexican aztec / mayan type of statue or a more modern african voodoo type doll * either way --its a very a strange and odd find (most folks would think it a bit creepy) -( beware of possible bodies being buried near by)

what material is it made from stone - carved / chipped or molded & poured?
