I found this yesterday afternoon about 12-14” down CF0E4D47-E6C1-488C-B96D-C2383DD7CDB4.jpeg 12F81183-41AA-4DBE-85D8-C2306E1EA88B.jpeg in a field where I find late 1700’s n 1800’ relics. Appears to be a brooch of some sort but not sure plus has letters on the back appears to say ARC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think you are looking for a Maker's signature from England most likely. I think it may be ANG and the French used letter emmarks from what I have researched.

May belong to AARC[emoji23][emoji23] seriously though cookoo clocks have them as weights. They’ve been around a very damn long time, also could be a pendant
