There appears to be 2 items here. What item does the hallmarks go to?

The horse is inside the egg when you open it and the hallmark is on the bottom of the base

My internet research says it may be a Fabergé egg, or a copy of one.

The third segment of the silver mark shows it is from St. Petersburg during the period 1908-1926.
The number '88' converts to 916.6/1000 fine silver.

The horse and rider depict Peter the Great - copying a famous statue in St. Petersburg

I'll poke around some more -

lol, I take things for granted sometimes. Like assuming "we" already knew it was Peter the Great. However, it's not a copy of the Faberge Peter the Great egg that Nicolas II presented to his wife Alexandra in 1903.

Nor is it the modern version... https://stpetersburgcollection.com/theo-faberge-creations/egg-creations/peter-the-great

Nor is it the remake of the 1903 version for obvious reasons. https://encheres.catawiki.eu/kavels...-porcelaine-de-limoges-france-finition-or-24k

In my opinion, this egg shows close to the same quality of the one I posted in reply number 8 and I believe would be valued similarly. Though it won't command as much without the box and it's not quite as elaborate as the one I posted. If it were mine and I was interested in selling it, I would still contact a high end auction house such as Sotheby's, get their opinion and go from there. If it's worthy, you will hear back from them.
