Charles the IV Spanish milled coin. There are some really sharp people on this site that will nail it down for you.

"AUSPICE.DEO.IN.UTRO.FELIX only appears, in 1792, on Spanish Colonial gold escudo coins . The legend is in abbreviated Latin and says: "CHARLES IV BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING OF SPAIN AND THE INDIES" and "UNDER GOD'S WILL WE PROSPER"."

"Gold doesn't tarnish or oxidize. It's ability to withstand chemical destruction has been one of the reasons for gold's desirability. The fact that your coin is black might indicate that it might be a cast copy in lead or other base metal. "

Thanks Don for the ID of the gold coin this replica represents.. I dont know where it came from. Its some kind of souvenir. I found mine in the 80's.

As far as the metal composition, it is identical to the one I found and I can assure you that its pot metal. If you look closely you may find COPY stamped on it somewhere. Mine is 20-30 years old.
