Canadian Coins (Clad)

The tellers at the bank I work gives me always all the Canadian coins that reject from the machine.

I have about $80 in clad Canadian dollars. Banks do not exchange Canadian coins for American dollars they just exchange paper money. Any ideas were to sell clad Canadian coins? If not I will keep saving them until I have enough to take some vacations to Niagara falls. I do not even know what clad dates are rare.

In the Internet there is a company that buys the clad from you but they pay you $0.50 cents oer dollar not including shipping fees.

Just to add that I am in Texas and still I get often Canadian Coins.

maybe if you put an ad on Craigslist you might get fv for them (an even exchange for USD) - that should be about what they are worth.

Find a Canadian coin shop that will allow you to mail in coin as payment and buy silver (or whatever you like). That way you get face value, minus shipping of course.

The way I see it you have two options.
1. Try to sell them to a local coin shop for face value, my local coin shop exchanges foreign currency to a certain extent.
2. Just send them way up north to me in Canada

I don't know what I am saving my canadian money for, for some reason, I just want a large jar filled with canadian coins from the coin machine magnet.

Maybe some day I will take a trip to Niagra Falls.

the magnet also produces other goodies like eurocents and other competitive currency.

There is no such thing as clad in Canadian coinage. I think you are referring to a nickel or nickle/bronze 12 sided and yellow coloured dollars. They both are worth face value, with an exception of high grade UNC pieces. Try ebay to sell them, but I would not say that they are in a high demand like pre 1968 silver dollars.
