Can't get enough of the woods.

This is from the last 2 hunts with Twistidd out in the woods. We keep exploring for (new) long lost trails in hopes of finding some old coinage. The first hunt was 9/1/08 (Labor Day) & the second hunt was 9/6/08. I have found 6 Buffalo Nickels this season - 4 of them I found in the last 2 weeks!!! Enjoy...

Re: Can't get enough of the woods.

Sweet,sweet finds.

Is that 42 nickel a war nickel, found a 42 a week or so ago and it's not a war nickel, but have no idea if maybe it might be special in a way.

Been reading about people , of late, finding stuff in the woods or just off trails thru the woods, and have a spot I've been meaning to hit, will be overjoyed to get a fraction of your recent take. Those mercs look crisp.

Good luck,
HH.

Yes its a war nickel, look on the back of yours. If it has a letter above the building, then it is a war nickel.
All 3 of the Jefferson nickels pictured are war nickels. Check your woods out, you might find all kinds of stuff.
