Can't ID this religious medal

I found this medal detecting at an early 1900's farm. I can't make out the writing and I have looked at countless religious medals on the Internet and I can't seem to find this one. Does anyone at least happen to know what saint this is ? I think its made of brass.

This is the closest I've found. It has Saint Barbera , but the crucifixion on the reverse side is the exact same as mine. This one dates back to 1600's though. I don't believe mine is the lady of sorrows. Its really close, but the one I have seems to have an even older lady and her entire forehead shows.

This medal actually looks like the ones that are dating to the 16 and 1700's. I found it at an early 1900's home though. I guess the place could be a little older than that or maybe someone dropped it there 100 years ago and it was something kept in the family for 150 years prior to that. The main house there was built in 1930's and the barn (really nice rock barn) has 1940 on it. There is another house there that is older than that, but not by much. Maybe 1900.

The reverse scene is described as the "Passio Christi Conforta me" and part of that legend is readable.
The reverse image may be St. Mary Magdalene who was present at the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.
Don....

Indeed, earlier this morning I was re-visiting the subject, being not convinced that I was correct.
Good reading of the back Don!
In your searches I would add "bronze", as I think it's that rather than brass. I wouldn't doubt the dates your looking at, maybe leaning toward the 18th century.
