Hey guys. Anyone know exactly what this item is? I found it at the base of an old tree in some roots. Looks like it's cast, or pot metal. I was just wondering if anyone knew it's purpose off hand, what is was likely attached to, or what it held up. Kind of reminds me of an old door knocker, but the action seems a bit stiff for this purpose. Any thoughts?

I would say nice find but you need be carefull about graveyards and don't let sceptics tell you other wise, best thing you did was take it back disturbing a grave could be more then you bargained 4 as spirits will return pissed off!
Where did you get your name?...and what does it mean?

It seemed like a good name for a die hard treasure hunter like me and no I don't dig graves for cash but artifacts sure are tempting!!!!!
I guess you are being satirical as most people look down on grave diggers for profit or artifacts. That is why i asked. It is very controversial. I thought maybe it was your job. :icon_scratch:

Yeah I was thinking the same thing--if you were a grave digger by profession that was cool, but not a great name to have on a public MDing forum...

:(
A grave robber is NOT a good name for an MDer. Probably one of the worst you could have picked.
