Similar technology has been used in my region too. The philosophy seemed to be to use the TDEM survey to generate better drill targets and it did generally work, but failed to discriminate between native silver and more conventional metallic sulfides. Given our mineralogy I'm curious as to whether the method would work, since our values are very closely associated with sulfides.

More on my side of things (I'm a miner, not a geologist/geophysicist, nor do I play one on TV), they drilled an unmapped stope while working to explore the original vein. This is why I'm such a strong proponent of physical entry and chip/grab sampling of old workings whenever safe to do so. Properly rehabilitated and maintained old workings can be a real asset.

I'm thinking the biggest difference with China set ups is both the size of antenna and the amount of power used. I'm wondering if a smaller system setup that can detect 100 - 200 feet would be more practical?

This is a long range locator system. Maybe now people will take this subject seriously. Probably not! LOL

Several years ago a company developed something similar for underground communication with the miners. It was so low power as to not cause any sparks.

I have to wonder how much damage is being done to the local environment (plants/animals) by

China likely has a sterile earth policy. China has been known to harvest organs etc. comes to mind here.
USA is hampered by how much can be pumped into the local environment with the exception of unchecked operations and perhaps "Emergency"?

Crow...I believe you've stated the situation quite well.

It's "Don't trust, and if you still want to pursue it, verify over and over to insure

I go by the old saying, " If you see their lips moving, they are lying! " and in most case's I'm right !
