Your coin is a cash from the reign of Emperor Chia Ch'ing, c. 1796-1820. The two characters on one side are the mintmark of the Boo-Yuwan (Peking) Board of Public Works.
this Shan Lung coin is a nice find, wherever you got it. It was minted in 1736....know by the hook on the top character.....no other date has this. Quite rare, while almost all other Shan Lung coins are in the $1.00 to $2.00 range, this one is listed at $100.00. Great find.mojjax said:Those are some great links PBK and just-geese . I was gettin ready to post this one , but now I now it's a Shan-Lung 1736-1795 .
My Chia Pet is a different story ..... It's not doing too good .
I fill it with water every night . The water seems to seep out by morning . Is this normal ? I can't find any cracks ............ The picture on the box always looks good !
