Civil War Button? Has 11 on it

I picked up this button today for 3$ It seems old, maybe from the civil war time period. It has 11 on the front, the maker on the back says Fonson & Brux Co. Has anyone seen one like this before? Thanks for your help. It is the size of a coat button.

I believe it is a french button, though I am not sure on the age.

That is a Belgian Army regiment buttons (Infantry Line Regiments) Fonson & Brux Co made buttons for... They would have been used in 1897 to 1915. Kewl find!
