Civil War Finds - Cool Eagle I button "worked" by soldier..

Yesterday's Civil War hunt.. good day out with my buddy. I dug more eagle buttons then I have in a while including the Eagle "I"s. The last one is interesting, the soldier hammered the button around the eagle so that part is flattened and the eagle is still raised. Pretty cool looking in person!

WOW! Great CW relics MB.
That custom "I" button is a super find. Those are the types of finds that have a special meaning to them. Like carved lead.
Congrats,

Thx! Yes, this is right up there with some of the better carved lead pieces I have.. sorta has that personal touch you just don't get from a lot of regular dropped relics.. sorta brings it home.. some guy just like us out there was doing this stuff 150+ years ago..

That is a Banner find in my Book, finding Infantry buttons is Awesome, but to have one like you found is like the Soldier made it just for you .
