We dug these in the yard of a house that stands right where the battle of Franklin took place! We believe these to be parts to an Enfield rifle, but we aren’t positive. Hopefully we’ll be able to do some electrolysis on them!! Just thought I would share! Any ideas on the type of gun?? Thanks!! :icon_thumright: A2D8E882-A57E-40F5-89BE-1B8D0EF14D6D.webp

Awesome! Hope you are right. You'll know soon enough.

Two of them look like rifle parts? :dontknow:

Nice. I would be interested in the pictures after the electrolysis. Hopefully they come out clean enough to make an ID. Congrats.

You have two gun hammers and two side plates. Not sure of the little pieces. Nice job.

I think the little pieces at the bottom are just some pieces of the original wood that my boyfriend saved! Haha the rest had rotted away of course. But thank you! We think so too! Now we just need to clean it up!

Pretty awesome! Just showed my hubby and got him jelly! Definitely on his bucket list!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Freakin cool I would love to hunt a place like that. Good job. Tommy
