You never know what's going to come out on this site?? This is the site, that i have found lots of silver at..1890s to 1964..
And now today KG 1775or6..And the scabbard..
Just found out today that it was a swimming hole from 1880s till the 20s..
I went a bought a sickle to knock down all the over growth..Man did that work great..
Tiring though...lol..Cut some down..Swing a little...lol..
I wonder what else this place has left for me?? I didn't even hit a third of the place yet...Wish me luck..And enjoy the pictures..And if anyone has input on the scabbard please let me know...Im clueless...
George

Nice as always.

Now you see why I customized my coil. ;)

Beautiful coins and scabbard piece! :D That barber was lost shortly after minting. And the headline of the year that coin was minted was: Titanic Sinks; Massive Loss of Life.

Excellent finds, Vino. Very envious of the places you have to hunt. Tom said he actually cries thinking about it.

Great hunt, with a site like that it's like eating a box of chocolates in the dark, all good and all different. Liking the whole post of finds, congrats on the scabbard.

Good hunt buddy! That site may give you something special at some point. In the meantime silver coins, colonial coppers and great relics will have to do. I think you'll be just fine lol

I have even thought about renting one of those DR Grass Trimmers to knock down the growth on one place I want to hunt. Snow, rain....if you don't have the postal mentality, someone will beat you to the goods. Cool scabbard.

Nice Barber. Congrats

Ha ha - Vino, I can't count how many times I have tried to determine whether I could swing a sickle long enough to make it worth it. In your case, the answer is decidedly yes! Good on ya, as they say down under.

Would a weed eater not work? Or are the weeds/grass too thick?

Don't you have a laborer that needs to work you can get to cut the weeds?
