Hello everyone,

Decided to do a little spin-off of halfdime's "Silver Quarter IQ test" post (hope you don't mind, my friend), but this time I took a pic of all the silver dimes I have found this past week, and placed one clad dime in the bunch. Can you pick out the clad one???

I had a pretty good week pounding spots with my SE that I've been to before. 9 of the 12 silver dimes were fairly deep. Around 7-9" in heavily watered turf along the coast here in S. CA. The other 3 were fairly shallow, and in hard-packed turfless soil at around 3". Wonder where all the silver quarters are?? Also found handfuls of wheats (around 90 or so), and 1 '07 Indian Head.

It's getting real hot over here, but I'm sure it's a little cooler than some places many of you are detecting at right now. ::) I'm staying along the coast.

Stay cool, thanks for looking,
CAPTN SE
Dan

I think we can rule out those funny looking winged ones. ;) Lets say the 3rd from the left - 2nd row.

Kirk dude, okay you got back at me ;D....they're all Wilver, except one.
Just like you, I'd take all those blackened, tarnished ones over clad any day!

Congrats, bud! I am going to unofficially rename you "Mr. Silver".

Sorry, Stoney, try again. ;D ;D

I think that your claddie is in the 2nd row, 3rd pin over, going left to right. It's still nice to see so much silver coming up. Huskerville

Thanks nebstater, but you need to look again.... ;D ;D

Third row down, second from the left. The one with the D just above the date.

Thanks, dude, but I gotta tell you, all my spots here are drying up....I'll be real lucky to hit 500. I need to find some other sites that haven't been pounded. Most of my Wilver has come from parks so far this year.

You will hit 1,000 wilvers this year! I have faith in you, Mr. Wilver! :-* :D

Try again, Stoney.

Hey, you reshuffled the deck. LOL ;D
Now it's 2nd row last one.

You beat me to it, Old Abe.. I just logged in to guess that one :P ;D

Where did you find all the wheats? Ninety?

Great finds...

HH from M2

i saw 3rd row 2nd to the left

Third row second one in from the left. A complete guess....

Man, there sure is a lot of sharp clad spotters out there.....you were right if you guessed 3rd row down, 2nd from the left.

M-squared, the wheats came from the same areas I found all the silver. As for location on some of them, I can't say exactly; they weren't my spots. However, more than half of them were from parks just north of Los Angeles. It's getting too hot over there right now, so I'm staying local. Where there is silver coins, there are wheaties for sure. Where there are wheaties, there's a great chance for silver coins.
