clad, silver, wheats, and something you won't believe! I GOT IT!!!!

I spent pretty much all saturday and sunday detecting up at my camp. I went to a house down the street from the 20's. In that yard i found 5 silver and 9 wheaties. I also found a bunch of clad. The silver are 1952D quarter, 1948, 1964, and 1951 rosies, and a 1923 S merc.

Here's the part that i am very embarassed about. I know it sounds like something a 2 year old would do, but here it goes.

I was laying down on the couch watching tv, and i decided to look closer at some of the stuff i found. I was examining the '51 rosie and i held it up higher so it would catch some of the sunlight. I somehow dropped it right into my mouth and it slid down my throat. Yup, I SWALLOWED a silver dime. I really want it back, but at the same time i am not willing to look for it tomorrow. It was a good find but i think i will be able to live without it. laugh all you want, i know how rediculous this is.

yes i do you get a pencil scribble on the coin and then use the eraser and it comes off and is nice and shinny worked on my 54 silver rosie

Should you use a number 2 pencil?

What a nightmare it would have been if you passed the dime and it was a different year

I'm so glad that the wait is over. I know that this was a crazy and funny experience for you. I certainly would put the precious dime in a shadow box and hang it on the wall with the story attached on the back for your kids and grandkids to read years from now.

After great anticipation...a lot of waiting... some stinky digging.. here he is: MR. FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT!!!

That's right- straight from the ground to my insides back to my hands. I will forever remember this dime and the work i went through to get it.

It may only be a 1951 silver dime, but it was well worth the work!!

PS- And no, those are not brown spots on the reverse. Must just be a glare.
