Hello everyone.

What methods do folk have for cleaning finds? I have used spit and foil, on copper which was successful but took many applications. I have been considering an electrolysis unit from Phils quality detecting accessories on eBay, and a ultrasonic type recommended by Garry, gardensolyn on YouTube. Not found any silver yet to clean.

Thanks

Andrew

Don't spend any money on the ultrasonic cleaner. Wife got me one, used it once, and it's been in the back of my closet ever since. It does not do what you want it to do. If your cleaning modern or non valuable coins, get a rock tumbler. A little aquarium gravel, and a touch of dish washing soap and water will clean them right up. Just don't put the copper pennies with any thing else as they will turn all the other coins copper colored.
