Found with a confederate button. I thought it was a token At first but now I'm think token? Any ideas?

It's a coin,I think it's a real/Reis, from portugal/brazil maybe. Not got much time to look for ya,but you can get a idea from these ......................................

You guys nailed it with the globe. It is a reis. Who knows maybe a confederate was carrying that thing around. Thanks.
