Hello;

I dug this coin today. I would like to know if any one knows what it is and about how old it may be. As you can see it's toasty.

Thany you

King George II or III (1736-1782) Irish Hibernia halfpenny, but need some detail on the bust side to determine which George and a time frame. (or the date of course)

The Roman "II" is clear at the 10 o'clock position: George II
Diameter is about 27/28 mm and should weigh just over 8g.
Don....

Actually it's III so 1766-1782.

Thank you very much guys. :notworthy: :notworthy: This is by far the best section of this forum. This will make it the oldest coin I have found. I gotta hit the place I found it at hard. I also found a coin spill that included three mercs., two wheats and that war nickle shown in pic.
