And YES, it's that kind of bud....
Marijuana (bud, weed, herb, etc.) has been made legal for recreational use in many US states,
and most states require that the marijuana sold in that state be grown and packaged in that
state.
Pre-rolled joints are very popular, and the local packagers have to come up with novel
methods of packaging. In many cases, they use small tins (about the size of a standard
Altoids tin), and many have had custom tins produced for them. The designs of these
tins is often unique, and with every state having different growers and packagers, there
is sure to be hundreds of varieties of these tins.
Once emptied (the best part) and then cleaned out, they should be legal to ship anywhere
in the USA, meaning that collectors can buy/sell/trade the tins from their local growers
to collectors in other states.
I believe that, in time, this will become a new collectible market.
