Kind of two hours driving, permit to access to this old prívate place, ruins, old clay pieces everywhere and just this coin.

Local people commented that close to the church had fund two skeletons dressed as a priest, with some gold and silver pendants and rings, etc, it happened when refutsbish some sidewalks close to the church.

around 5 miles a cave that “produce” strange whistle sounds and like a voices, I had never experienced somthing similar

What a great place to hunt! Love the setting and the coin is a nice one! But the best is the food after -- you always seem to follow the hunt with a great meal!

That photo of the detector taking a little siesta by the door is classic!

Thanks Robertk,

Not easy to get access to this prívate areas, this time we got it.

Yes, food after detecting day is great, we call discada.

Keep Detecting, keep posting, keep in touch

😎

A great looking Coin and some great looking photo's - well done !

That meal looks amazing , I've had the Spanish food cooked on spot near the senotes we visited. Great coin!
Thank you for your comments, I guess you enjoy Cancun.

Fresh meet, chorizo, bacon, “salchicha”, jam, onion, tomates and a delicious green jalapeño sausage…

It was not to far from Merida

Jorgeke,
Your coin is an 1865 State Copper from the State of Chihuahua. The governor orderd the coins struck on January 20, 1960. This variety was produced only in 1860, '61, '65 and '66.
The legend reads: E. CHIHa LIBERTAD (Liberty for the state of Chihuahua).
Keep swinging; your finds are always interesting--especially the coins.
Don in SoCal.

Looks like it was quite an interesting detecting trip. 👍
Everywhere you go reminds me of western movies.
Sheesh! The caves and the whistling sounds 😵‍💫 immediately makes me think of Bone Tomahawk with Kurt Russell. Maybe don't watch it if you plan a return. 😬

Chilli,

Thank you

I’m going to watch it. Sound like a good movie he he

I hope, curiosity will not kill the cat 😳🤪

Maybe don’t watch it no matter what your plans. There are parts of it that are just disturbing. There aren’t many movies that I wish I hadn’t watched, but that’s one of them.

Mmm, maybe take Roberts advice. Its a very like he said disturbing movie at times.
Horror Western not for the faint hearted. You'll probably never go near that cave ever again if you do. 😬

I like the church building. Must have been an earlier building there in the 1600s? Too bad they didn't leave some coins from that era in the ground. But you fellows have fun and eat well for all your expeditions, it seems. Something similar would be fun for your northern neighbors, I think. We mostly detect alone or in twos and don't normally cook a feast on site!
Thanks for sharing.

GREAT GOING BUDDY !! Hope things are going well for you and your family
